The hamattan season is almost over but i just felt i should post how I've been dealing with it anyway..
First things first, when getting your hot water ready for bath add a little bit of oils (Olive) into your bathing water, this will reduce the dryness on your skin and make your skin feel soft. So rather than bathing with just your warm water which will make your skin feel dry after bath, add a little oil.
Secondly use a moisturizing cream, if you have a really dry skin you can mix it up with a little shea butter or olive oil for better results.
Moisturize your hair too, very important, because our hair tends to shred more at this time. If possible make protective styles like fring, bob, wigs and the rest, basically any hair style that will hide your hair from dust, dirt and dryness.
Apply lip glosses with vitamin E, to prevent a dry and unattractive lips (no one likes a cracked lips)
Try as much as possible to wear thick clothing all the time, so you don't get sick. And remember to always drink lots of water.
